Meeting Minutes
February 19, 2013
I. Call
to order
LeAnn called to order the regular meeting of the Nishnabotna Valley Quilters Guild at 7 pm on February
19, 2013 in the Walnut Public
Library.
II. Roll
call
LeAnn conducted a roll call, Show–n-tell – oldest UFO. 8
of the 9 members present responded with UFO’s from a few months to 32 years
old. The oldest received a “chocolate
reward”.
III. Approval
of minutes from last meeting
Vivian gave the treasures’ report with the bank balance
of $916.09.
IV. Open
issues
a)
Collection of dues for 2013
b)
Personal challenges – some members added to their
list. They have until April to complete
their list and until December to complete the challenge.
V. New
business
a)
Robin taught the new challenge block for the month – “Beacon
Lights”. Every still uses the same challenge fabric. One member made 6
additional blocks this month for a larger quilt.
b)
The Sunbonnet Sue quilt has been hand quilted and ready
for binding.
c)
Program focused on Member Trunk Show – Grandma and Me
VI. Up Coming events:
a)
Demos are
being present on National Quilt Day, March 16, at the Lincoln, NE Quilt Museum.
b)
Next meeting will be March 19 and LeAnn will be
presenting ½ Square Triangles.
VII. Adjournment
LeAnn adjourned the meeting at 8:15.
