Meeting Minutes

March 19, 2013

I.     Call to order

LeAnn called to order the regular meeting of the Nishnabotna Valley Quilters Guild at 7 pm on March 19, 2013 in Walnut Public Library.

II.     Roll call

LeAnn conducted a roll call as show and tell.   6 of the 10 members attending had items to present.

III.     Approval of minutes from last meeting

LuAnn read the minutes from the last 2 meetings.  Minutes were read and approved. Vivian reported the treasury balance now is $896.09

IV.     Open issues

a)     The Sunbonnet Sue quilt still needs binding.  Nancy and Robin volunteered to complete this project

b)     Personal Challenge list was reviewed and added to.  Members have until April to list a task that they had never done before.

c)     Collection of dues for 2013 was completed

V.     New business

a)     Betty taught the new Challenge Block of “Next Door Neighbor”.  Next month Nancy will teach “Crown and Star”

b)     Shirley presented a new quilt completed for her personal challenge

c)     LeAnn taught “1/2 square triangles? Technique to make multiple accurate small squares of any 2 colors.

d)     Next meeting will be April 16.

LeAnn adjourned the meeting at 8:15 pm.
