I wielded a little presidential power this year and moved the show-n-tell portion to the beginning of each meeting as a way to bring everyone together, and, frankly, because we were all too anxious to wait until the end.
So as well as beautiful quilts to admire:
Dorine made a colorful quilt for one of their guest bedrooms, and then
made a smaller version to hang in the Walnut Public Library.
we get recommendations for products, such as Bloc-Loc, a ruler used to accurately trim half-square triangles, which Elaine enthusiastically endorsed.
We can share notices for upcoming quilts shows or quilt shop events, and we've even been known to share pictures of grandchildren. Sometimes we're a little slow starting our regular meeting, but since fellowship is one of our chief goals, it's all good.
